For the gorgeous couple Harveen and Sumeet, life has become more meaningful after their wedding.
Love at First Talk
The young bride, Harveen, has just landed in India after spending few months in Australia with her Prince Charming. Amid wedding celebrations of her cousin, she agrees for a quick chat with me. She tells me that her journey started with PunjabiMatrimony. "We exchanged numbers and thereafter things proceeded swiftly". Harveen and Sumeet met for the first time along with their families at Moga. Harveen goes on to elaborate on
this. "In our first meet we discussed every aspect of our lives. I would like to call it a 'love at first talk'. When we spoke, I could see my own reflection in him".
10 Days Before the Engagement
All elated, Harveen tells me that the days after their first meet were full of excitement. "I was eagerly awaiting my engagement. Sumeet told me that he'll be arriving only a day before the engagement. But to my wonder, he came down to India 10 days before! What was even more surprising was the pre-wedding photo shoot that he had planned for me! And now I have something in store for him. Just yesterday, I got a tattoo done with his name".
Distance never posed a hindrance for this madly in love couple. Technology always came to their rescue.
The Big Fat Punjabi Wedding
Harveen tells me that their wedding is indeed synonymous with grandeur and splendour. "All our wedding rituals unfolded in a Gurudwara at my hometown, Bathinda. During the phere, I was thoroughly laughing. On the other hand, Sumeet was quite serious. In the photographs, it seemed as if I was the groom and he was the bride".
Before I could end my interview, the young lady tells me that after the wedding her culinary skills have improved greatly. "I love making Punjabi cuisines, especially dal makhani and butter chicken, Sumeet's favourites".
"We are each other’s source of happiness. And now I have somebody beside me to share my dreams with".
